Having encountered the flashing glow plug indicator followed by a limp mode a few weeks ago, I can give a few pointers. Had similar issues with the glow plug light flashing, exhaust immisions light AND dpf light all on at the same time! flash whenever my girlfriend drives ie slow ha ha,,for some reason my car doesnt go into limp mode.going to bring it into audi next week for free health check(which i got when i registered. Your car really needs to go on a code reader.
Indicator light means that the engine's glow plugs are warming up and the engine should not be started until the light goes out.
It is the glow plug light, but when the brake light switch on the brake pedal fails it flashes for some reason, you probably haven't Dealer only as far as I know (but Audi, VW, SEAT and Skoda will stock it) price is around £.
