Any help would be greatly appreciated. The start/stop system allows automatic engine stops and starts. I selected this option but the VCDS did not show a value.
If councils introduce fines for idling engines but my Start Stop system deems it unsafe for the engine to stop (maybe its cold or I'm on a hill etc.) - is the fact I have a Start Stop system installed and in use, a reasonable defence or am I expected to manually turn the engine on and off if in a long traffic queue and does that action potentially damage the engine if it is cold?
